I view my firearms as an investment. As such, I spend a lot of time cleaning firearms. Usually, when, cleaning the chambers & interior parts of receivers, I use cotton tipped (q-tip) style disposable tools. These have tips that are much larger and way more absorbent. Yet, the tips on these are very compressible and can work their way into hard to reach crevices. Its not an understatement to say that these are some of the best cleaning tools I've ever used. Can't believe I've never looked into ones like these before. They're easy to hold and work with. Priced very well too. Give these a try - I think you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

These foam swabs do an excellent job at cleaning hard to reach, delicate areas in electronics or other things. They absorb solution very well (IE: isopropanol), and they do not leave lint/residue. They're great!

These are nice and sturdy! Depending on what you're using them for, they can be rinsed and used again. The material is similar to a makeup sponge, just a bit less soft.The tip has support in it, which is nice, it retains it's shape while using it. It's also a great price for the amount you get (about 12 cents each).

These little swabs are great for cleaning tight spaces and are more durable than cotton swabs. They also do not leave cotton lint on what you are cleaning. The sticks are sturdy and the foam ends stay securely attached when in use. I have also used them to apply silicone spray without getting it everywhere and with solvents. They pick up and hold dirt and dust well. I am not sure about the recycling claim, as there is no recycling symbol anywhere on the product. They may mean you can wash them and reuse them, but that would vary greatly based upon your use.

Works great on just about any item where a cotton swab doesn't quite cut it. My first task was to clean my Apple keyboard. It did not look dirty, the sponge tip said otherwise.For clearing my bike parts (cain ring, cassette, crevices etc) I liked that the sponge end is firm yet forgiving, and the plastic handle is flexible but tough; you can put pressure on it without worrying it will snap.What can make this product better is using a resealable bag. Per product description they are "50 per bag to avoid contamination of the remaining swabs if the package is opened for too long." To keep dust and "contaminates" out, you will need to put the open bag in a zip lock bag.Also, I am not a fan of pushing the whole "can be recycled and reproduced" thing when such recycling is not available. Per exact words from one of the oldest recycling companies in the country- "PP products CAN SOMETIMES be recycled." Translation- Good luck finding and facility that recycles #5 PP. They may collect it, but it still ends up in the landfill.My recommendation- very effective and useful. But, if you feel guilty about purchasing plastics that end up in the landfill, you may have to go with bamboo, compressed paper (as used on cotton swabs), or wood handle swab sticks. Otherwise, get the maximum use out of each of these to minimize your carbon footprint.

I use these foam swab sticks for detail cleaning in both our vehicles and the furniture crevices in our house where snacks and dust like to settle. They’re longer than regular cotton swabs, which makes them much easier to maneuver into tight spots, and they don’t leave any lint behind. I usually put a drop or two of water on the tip to help pick up lint and dust, and for stickier messes, a few drops of alcohol do the trick. The foam holds up well and doesn’t disintegrate like cotton swabs can when scrubbing. These are great for getting into air vents, dashboard seams, and between seat cushions, as well as the little nooks in furniture that collect crumbs and dust bunnies.

Great cleaning swabs. This set of heavy-duty cleaning swabs are perfect for so many different cleaning situations. If you have really tight spots to get into, these swabs are probably not for your jobs. However, if you have a bit more room to fit these foam swabs, then chances are you will be very happy with their performance. These purple foam swabs are absorbent and tough - really tough. They don't shed during heavy scrubbing, and stay together unbelievably well. For instance, I only needed one swab to tackle a utility faucet that's been asking to be cleaned for years. With a bit of water and soap, the old faucet was sparkling once again. Great swabs that I can definitely recommend!
