How to install the zipper replacement:
Please make sure your zipper size and type, get tools ready
1. Remove the metal stopper on the top of the zipper tape, on both sides.
2. Move the slider to the top of the zipper tape and align it with the zipper teeth.
3. Fit the slider into the zipper tape: grasp the zipper tape on both sides with your left hand and pull the slider down into the zipper teeth with your right hand.
4. If you have a hard time pulling the slider into the zipper teeth, you can use some wax or spray some oil to polish the zipper teeth to make it easier.

I love this product recently my coat zipper broke didn't feel like taking it to the cleaners so I went on Amazon and saw this got it it works better than the original zipper that was on the coat and cheap to buy I will recommend this

I know how to sew with a machine, making basic stitches. My projects are mostly limited to making straps (think slings made of 1-2" nylon and polyester with tri-glide adjustments). When it comes to working with CLOTHING, I am basically worthless.My zipper on a favorite jacket finally had enough. I thought I'd try a replacement slider.This kit came in and I read the directions (sort of) and watched one video of a person popping off a bad slider and putting on a new one. Didn't seem tough.The accompanying tool -- which is a lot like a clipper or a wire snip -- did great in getting off the slider stop. I removed the old slider, and compared it to the ones in the kit. I couldn't get one of those to work. In frustration, I actually read the directions more carefully. I decided I didn't know what my zipper was made of, but I knew it wasn't metal. I couldn't get a one of the metal sliders for nylon zippers to fit. I wanted to use a black slider, but I soon realized that wouldn't work. My zipper, I finally realized, was what this kit calls a "resin" zipper.With that figured out after 10 minutes, I popped it on, lined it up, and it worked. Great in fact. I popped on the top slider stop and the project is complete. I wish the zipper for my jacked were not bright silver, but I may be able to touch it up and get it darker. Anyway, problem solved and my old black outdoor, fleece lined jacket is back in business.

Oh my lanta, I have used so many of these so far. The zippers are of good quality, very easy to put on and work better than the original. It's nice to get such a large variety and the value is perfect.

I ordered this kit to repair my daughters coat. I mostly needed this for the black zippers. While the product clearly gives 24 replaceable zippers in 3 different sizes I received one size different from the rest. I received 4 size 10's in gold and silver. I placed them all side by side to see if I received them all but not all the gold sizes were complete as the picture in the product is described. The silver 8 inch zippers are completely missing. I can only rationalize that the 10 inch zippers were put in it's place. I didn't check if the correct amount of track replacements were there as those didn't concern me much. I'm giving it three stars because..a) the zippers don't have the size on the back as most zippers dob) the price it was affordable and c) it did arrive on time.

After at least 30 hours of my time being wasted I can tell you thesis suck. It's not me, it's the product. I had to put the teeth of the zipper back together erfirst prior to installing which is near impossible with fine teeth, I did this 7 times only for the zipper to not hold. I tried every size I had the right one the first time. The issue is that the back of the zipper isn't strong so when you pull on it like on a boot, the back of the zipper bends open and then it gets pulled off for it just wont zip. THESE SUCK

Unlike some repair kits one buys, this kit does what the description says it will do. You really can properly fix your zippers with it as long as they are a size and type listed in the description. Period.

Worked out great, and saved me from throwing out my favorite motorcycle jacket. With all the extra bits I'll keep this kit with any sowing stuff I have.
