I'm never buying these from "the red big box office supply store" again! You know who I mean. I just checked there prices again. They want $29.99 for the same 50 pack AND $14.99 / 25 envelopes. This is a much better deal and they worked every bit as well as the ones I've been buying from the local store for years.I just issued the 1099-MISC and 1096 Transmittal using QuickBooks Pro 2016. Everything printed just great with one exception. This happens every year no matter where I get my forms from and likely will not affect anyone but my industry. I'm a bookkeeper who has a lot of nonprofit clients. Nonprofits are generally required to be audited by an independent third party CPA firm every year. I learned the hard way that if the X mark in box 95 on the Form 1096 Transmittal sheet does not line up I get dinged in the audit.In order to get that box to line up the other boxes on the page would not be aligned. If you are subject to annual audits like I am just take a black ink (not felt) pen and mark an X directly the box! If your auditors are like the ones I work with you will still have to explain it but you will likely not get dinged. (Really, don't they have something better to do?)Reminder: We are required to issue these to the vendors AND the IRS by January 31st for box 7 nonemployee compensation. Directly from the IRS 1099 Instructions: "Filing date when nonemployee compensation payments are reported in box 7. Public Law 114-113, Division Q, section 201, requires you to file Form 1099-MISC if you are reporting nonemployee compensation payments in box 7 on or before January 31, 2018, using either paper or electronic filing procedures. For all other reported payments, file Form 1099-MISC by February 28, 2018, if you file on paper, or April 2, 2018, if you file electronically."

These forms worked perfectly with our QuickBooks. My only issue is that we only needed 36 forms but due to package size we had to order 50! I doubt this vendor has anything to do with the package size but it is very annoying that the manufacturer puts them in such odd quantities.

Works just as well as the other "Name brand, box store". Package also includes multiple filing forms, either for errors or multiple clients. No problem feeding in my ink jet.

If you already have good templates and don't mind filling in your payer info every single time, then these work fine. They could be improved simply by putting the forms in order as you have to print the same info on 4 separate pages each time. They could also offer a fillable template in pdf for both the 1099 and 1096 to make these more user friendly.

Good price & quality. Works with QuickBooks. There are never enough 1096 forms for me as I use them for multiple small businesses. But I'll buy these again.

Don't know what other people are complaining about, but this is the same quality as the one Office Depot sell for higher price. Works great on my printer.
