Be sure to save the stainless steel screws that come off the original pump. The replacement does not come with screws.

The construction quality of this cord is very good but it does NOT fit my several year old Wayne VIP50 pump. The “shoulder” on the part of the cord that plugs into the pump is longer than the shoulder on the original cord for my VIP50. That causes that part of the plug to sit proud of the pump casing so — if used as a replacement for the original VIP50 cord — it doesn’t create a proper water tight seal. Energizing this cord under those conditions and dropping it into a pond or stock tank would place the user at very serious risk of harm in my opinion.I wish this cord did fit my pump — the pump worked flawlessly for years and only stopped because a fox chewed the original cord making it unsafe (thankfully it blew the GFCI circuit breaker when I put it in the pond bio-filter before I realized the cord was damaged). Don’t improvise when dealing with electricity and water — ensure a proper fitting cord. This would have been a great replacement cord if it fit and I would recommend it highly for any pump that it does fit.

She was dead wrong and probably just trying to get me to buy the newer model. Why do that when the 12 year old one still works fine?!

Had a Wayne pump for years and eventually would trip the breaker when I put it in water. (probably due to me carrying it or tossing it by the cord over the years - yeah, you're not supposed to do that!) But, the new cord works and I'm back in business. (And still tossing it by the cord - maybe I should have ordered two!)

Nothing to dislike except C/S rep said there were no cords available for this product. Dummy! Amazon had one and it arrived quickly.

Item was a perfect match. Just unscrew and remove the old one and insert the new one
