This has only been in use for a few months, but linearity and build quality seem very good.Only downside - the pot itself turns smoothly, the supplied knob is stiff.

This potentiometer has the worst response ever. Small movements spike all sorts of resistances, it jumps all over the place. Certainly not something you want with a multi-turn pot. Additionally, if you put the count/position knob on you basically can't turn it without excessive force. Do not buy.

No.2 contact is the one protruding the bottom cap, as long as we figure this out, getting the resistance we need is no brainer then. I needed two of those 1K pots as speed dials for my turntable, I bought 4 of them just in case. When they arrived, I pulled my DMM and peasured each one of them. ALL 4 gave me values that are legit and steady. I will be happily using them. Hope the same happens on the rest of you when you are reading this.

Standard 10Turn Pot with a Unique dial to indicate resistance. I did not find it all that useful tho

It's durable and good material . I used it in my car close to the engine and heat.

Worked initially, but part way through the project I bought it for, something jammed inside, and then it quit working. Zero current, regardless of how you turn it.

The device had solder on the tags and had already been used. Before fitting it I tested its functionality. The wire wound coil is open circuit. Using a multimeter I tracked the fault to about 5K ohms along the track. Not happy, looking for a more reliable component supplier in the UK.
