Got these to remove a seized through-axle (made from too soft aluminum) where the inside hex socket for the normal way of removal was rounded out. I used an extractor that was small enough that it would fit in the center of the axle if it went all the way through (so it wouldn't damage the hub or the threads on the fork), but big enough to be well over the rounded 5 mm socket hole. Drove it in small bursts with an impact driver and it didn't look like it was doing much (it threaded itself in slowly) then the axle started to turn and it came right out, leaving the fork and thread undamaged.The extractor ended up seized in the axle - I could maybe wrestle it out, but the relative cost of one of 10 inexpensive extractors vs. a bicycle fork is a no brainer. Very cost effective and the extractor is solid enough to do exactly what it was supposed to.

Can’t say much as I Havnt used them I just bought them as a “just in case†moment. I liked that it’s two sets so I could split them up between my different work bags. Nothing fancy I hope they hold up when used.
