Bought this for a birthday party and it absolutely works as designed! Love the remote but also had a physical switch on it as well. Not extremely heavy either.

Now that I need it for an event, it won't work. Despite new batteries, the remote does nothing. I can plug it in and it spins but the lights won't come on except for a brief flashing at first - no way to adjust without flimsy non-working remote. So frustrating.

My 6 year old granddaughter was so excited to get the disco ball for her bedroom. She wanted one for her birthday!! She has decor that matches it!!

This is a cute little gadget. I think it’s more for parties or special events rather than every day, but you do you. I mean, I guess you can hang it anywhere that you can from your ceiling. I only really have my ceiling fans or a light fixture.I have found that if you try to use it in a smaller room, it kind of makes you dizzy, and it doesn’t have the same effect if you will, then using it in a larger room. So as opposed to maybe a small bedroom for a kid it might be fun, but it’s not as nice, I think anyway, as using it in somewhere like a living room.Is relatively easy to use and it is a fun little gadget. Again, I would recommend for special events and parties, especially.

Sometimes when it’s on it doesn’t turn, just has lights. I like that it has a remote, though that doesn’t really seem to work all the time either. I wound up using a plug that has switch to turn it on and off once I found a setting I liked.

YCCOKJJ 10 RPM Disco Ball is another of those things that's exactly what it says on the box - it's a mirrored ball that spins slowly and has LEDs to provide direct illumination so you don't need external lights. Can use 3 AA batteries or has a barrel socket and included cord to run from a 5V USB power source. Comes with a remote, very simple to operate and controls all features - once you turn on the power switch on the side of the motor housing all features can be controlled via the remote including turning off both the lights and the motor.It uses a metal chain (not plastic) to hang the ball from the motor housing, and the mirror tiles are glass (not plastic). There's also a rather beefy looking nut and bolt at the top of the ball to attach the hanging ring. It's a surprisingly sturdy setup for what is on the underneath a 6" styrofoam ball with small glass tiles glued to it. You wouldn't want it dropping and scattering sharp glass everywhere, and I can appreciate that, but it gives it the aura of something someone made as a hobby. Mine has a small dented area on one side about the size of my thumb, but all the tiles seem secure so this was probably damage prior to manufacturing not after.It has 4 colors of LEDs - red, green, blue, and white. They are either all on or can be set to a sound-sensitive mode where they all flash together when triggered by the built-in microphone. The motor is quiet and there's no jerkiness in the drivetrain. The LEDs are bright enough in themselves but there's a large brightness dropoff in the reflections. This can be mitigated a bit my shortening the chain to get the mirror elements closer to the LEDs but there's a limit to what you can achieve doing so.Going to ding a star for the slight damage and the current price. There's a couple of simple tricks they could have done to make it a better value proposition. Make the LEDs color selectable. Add a few animation effects to the LEDs (blink randomly, fade in/out, etc.). Consider changing the external power barrel connector for a USB socket. The product as is is decent, but not great.

Great quality disco ball. Nice size ball and looks great hanging. It was easy to set up too, looks great and works good, overall good value.
