As long as it's understood that a thin, non-woven row cover is not going to protect your tomatoes and peppers against a hard frost, this product has a good place in a three-season garden. I was happy to find a slightly heavier weight of row cover, but to be of very much value, you really need to use at least two layers of this fabric. Even then, it's not really "freeze" protection; it's more like giving your hardy plants an edge over the early frosts of autumn and the late frosts of spring. You can get a few degrees of protection from a double layer, certainly enough to keep harvesting carrots, kale, greens, lettuces, and plenty of other cool weather crops. If you live in a windy area, weighting it down securely is essential, because it will take off like a sail in a stiff breeze. It will also tear easily if not secured.Overall, this row cover is thicker than a lot of products out there. It has helped me get an early start on spring greens and I will definitely be using it as a hoop tunnel to keep aphids and white flies out of my spring crops. For that, only one layer is needed, so this package will cover 5 of my raised beds - great deal at that rate.

Sizing is mislabeled. I purchased a 10 (120") X 10 (120") because I needed 10X10. What I received was a 10 (120") X 9.5 (114"). The fabric is nice, but I now need to order another cover.

The fabric is strong. I used it to cover my roses (still have beautiful flowers in December) when the temperature dropped to the 20s. It was hard to cut to desired size because it’s folded not rolled. But it did what it was supposed to do. When I removed it after the frost, it got stuck in the thorns and had to be very careful not to break the branches.

It worked! My plants survived the freezing cold. Can’t ask for much better than that!

I ordered this big 10' x 60' plant cover to protect my plants from frost damage. Where I live, it only gets down to the mid-20s (degrees F) in the winter. But, the plants that do well here- and handle the hot summers- freeze easily. I was able to cut many custom-sized pieces out of this package to fit my various plants. The material is light but durable. If there's any breeze, it can fly away, so you may need to stake it, clip it, or weigh it down with rocks. I tested it out with three identical plants in my front yard right before a 26-degree freeze. Two plants were covered with just a single layer, and one I covered with a double layer just to test. Only the plant that had two layers of freeze cloth survived the freeze. The other two plants are crispy and freeze-burned. The product can work but don't rely on a single layer to protect your plants.
