I was a sheetmetal worker for 40 years, and these sheets met all expectations. They are exactly 1/16-in thick per my sheetmetal gauge and my digital calipers. Also, they measure exactly 18 in x 24 in. There's no way to improve them, unless they start giving them away free.

I purchased this to place on a cabinet next to our gas stove. In addition, I also bout a heat barrier to place underneath for added safety. The first piece of aluminum came damaged (most likely by the delivery folks) and I had to return it. The second came soon after my return and it worked perfectly. It looks nice next to my stainless gas stove and cleans easily.
