Your cart is empty.On this unique motor, where it sits in the vacuum unit, has more than a 1/2 inch taper down. Brand new (not rebuilt) 2-stage, 5.7 inch, 110-120 volt Lamb Ametek motor. The vacuum motor / engine may only say 9631 and also have a dash and numbers. Height 7, Bolt Height 2" (fits taller sizes too).

The old central vacuum motor gave out as were selling the home so we researched & found this motor to be the replacement for the old one. The old motor had plug in wire clip connectors so we had to modify this one by adding the plug-in wire connectors. And the rest is history! Works great and is a stronger and more substantial motor than the previous one. The bottom housing (silver portion) is cast metal where the old one was plastic from the manufacturer! Very high quality and excellent price! Thanks Amazon!

Installation went smoothly, but within 3 weeks the vacuum stopped working. I called up the seller (Dan at Central Vacuum Sales), who recommended replacing the circuit board. So I dropped another $55 on that, still not working. I tested the motor by directly jumping power to it, nothing. I didn't immediately get to notifying Central Vacuum Sales, and of course it's been over 30 days now, so they will not issue a refund or exchange. I'm now $160 into a central vacuum that still doesn't work, and I have to drop another $105 if I want to roll the dice on another motor. No thanks. Terrible customer service and worse product

The box was not damaged but the bottom of the unit was. In addition to the scrapes and bent metal around the inlet, it looked like it had been repeatedly struck with a tool of some sort. The second unit arrived in perfect condition and worked well. Shipping was fast for either unit.
