The paint work actually appears to be powder-coated. The pin threading is up to snuff and not rusty like I've seen with other brands on here. Just note the size of the pin and the interior diameter to make sure this works with your application. Regardless, these are very well made.

Made in China but fit perfectly on my TJ and seems pretty well made. Haven't field tested them on a tow yet but so far so good. Will edit my review when I use it for a tow.

For some bizarre reason Chrysler has modified their trailer hitches that makes normal sized safety chain clips not to fit.The use of this size is perfect.

I’ve ordered other 1/2†inch shackles before and these were much smaller and I ended up ordering a different brand which seemed normal size but i kept these anyway but was actually shocking to see how small they were; they may still have same strength but almost looked cute rather than something to use to haul on for any kind of vehicle recovery or attaching tow straps together
