This was perfect for my aquarium and I'll definitely be getting a couple more to complete the set up for my aquatic turtle. The rocks are very nice and deep in color, it's hard to find rocks that both look natural and look identical to keep a natural flow and look going in the tank and these fit the bill. Each rock is almost match prefect in color with only a very slight variation in color, prefect for the dark river bottom look I'm trying to achieve. Each rock is similarly sized too, about 2in in diameter making a prefect little pile of rocks in my aquarium that doesn't look like gravel. The rocks are smooth too, as river rocks should be, and will work for keeping my turtle safe as she tends to dig around in her tank. They appear to be pretty durable too, another bonus as Turtles are not the most cautious or delicate with handling their environment or things surrounding them. Overall they're great looking river rocks that work perfectly in an aquarium, they would also work great for landscaping or a flower pot of your trying to do that sort of thing. But me they worked great, highly recommend!

We’ve had this fountain since the early 1990s. Not once did it ever occur to us to add nice stones to the top tier. The light came on when I saw these great black stones!The reason for even having stones in the top tier is to displace water…make more water overflow through the holes feeding the big bowl below. These stones are perfect for that. They add bulk for water displacement and look good while they are doing it. I added the stones before cleaning the fountain because of the cold, snow and ice. I needed the water to flow strongly to prevent it from freezing. So now the weather has really warmed up and we had a chance to clean the fountain. Gone are the old stones and in are the new black stones. Looks great but it lacks enough displacement for the next freeze. So 20# of black stones are sitting in my cart!What is there to say about stones? These are polished. They are not exactly the same size, which is nice for my water displacement needs. The smaller stones fill in nicely the spaces between the bigger stones. The black color looks good with the color of the fountain. All in all, I am a happy camper.

I like to use small river rock to cover the soil around outdoor potted plants and discourage squirrels from digging in them. These are adequate for that purpose and the black color looks neat and clean. There are enough rocks to cover the surface of two 10 inch diameter pots (photo shows them on two 10 inch plates for comparison). While they are not all flat rocks, they do all appear to have at least one flat side to lay them on. This price works if you only have very few pots, otherwise looking at larger amounts in bulk prices will probably be more cost effective.

I'm using these black rocks in a black outdoor planter on our patio. The rocks look great in the planter, and because they are so heavy, they help weigh down the planter that sits on a table and prevents the planter from being blown over in the wind.The rocks are all around 2-4 inches and are all smooth - no rough edges anywhere.The black looks nice - just what I was looking for. Some people might think the rocks don't look natural because of this color, but I personally like the color regardless.The bag of rocks I received had 22 rocks in it - plenty to top off my 10" square planter with a single layer of rocks.The price of $14.99 for 22 rocks might seem a bit high ($0.69 each), but for the black look, it was easier for me to order this set versus find my own rocks and paint them black.Overall, I'm happy to have the rocks for my planter - they look good.PROS:- Smooth rocks with uniform color- 22 rocks in decent sizesCONS:- Rocks don't look natural, if that is what you are looking for

I wanted to try covering a pot with these, and I am pleased with the aesthetics. It will help the plant from drying out from sun and it looks nice in the process! If you need a ton of these, of course a garden/landscaping store will be a better value, but if you need a small amount or don't want to leave the house, these will have you covered. Pictured is one full 5lb bag, so it will cover one medium sized pot.

This is a good quality rock decor for house large potted plants. The rock is smooth as it should be for river rock. It is as advertised and recommend this to anyone trying to give their potted plants some "POP".

These rocks look nice in my planters! They're exactly as described. They're smooth and the black just makes them look classy and simple. Goes great in all white planters with my tropical plants! For what you get, the price is good. Would recommend for anyone who loves their rocks. I certainly do and I will take any chance I get to have some pretty looking rocks around my home !
