This short animal hoof file is a great value product. I like the weight as I have arthritic hands so it's easy to handle. Works great on my Llama, my wild burro and for my mare. Fits better in grooming bags than those heavy longer ones and the handle on this file comfortable fit in my hand.

We got goats, well my wifes got goats and I help trim the hoves of these stinky monsters. I want to get in and out quickly before I get butted or catch a horn in the groin, but I want to do a good job too. After snipping the big stuff, this file really helps smooth jagged areas quickly so they look pretty. I was supprised that it had such smooth action, even on the rough side! Boom, job is done and I can get on the other side of the fence where I belong feeding them treats!

I was excited to find a smaller rasp for horse hoof trimming. This thing is very dull. Not very useful.

Maybe if you had a mini with soft hooves this would work, but its dull, dull, dull. Unfortunately, I had to try it to find that out, so unfortunately can't return it. It is a nice size. Too bad it doesn't do the job.

Very nice little rasp. I use on my sheep but would also be great for miniature horses. It cuts well and the handle is nice.

It's not sharp and it hardly rasps anything off. I missed the return window and I'm annoyed that I did. Literally garbage taking up space in my barn now.
