Building a cable bridge with these and they seems solid. I did use cable around both jaws as an additional precaution, but nothing has failed.

I would not use these so support a person but it is fair quality, I used them on a couple of awnings and they held well and did not rust over the summer.Did not seem like great quality and the threads felt loose but they held a 20’ x 15’ shade all summer without rusting or breaking.

2 out of 4 units are completely rusted after 5 months, the other 2 are 50 to 75% rusted. Was not expecting a lot, but this is much worse than expected.

Just what you need if you are towing heavy load on an hitch extension. Easily attach chain to extension and hitch and tighten up quickly to help stabilize the extension.
