Got these lights to replace my old eyeball lights. The lights arrived and looked great so I moved forward to do the install. Installation was super simple that anybody could do even without directions. Remove the old bulb, pinch the two spring clips to remove the old eyeball, screw in the new light to the light socket, pinch the two mounting clips ro reinstall the fixture and your done. My only advice would be is to purchase a dimmer switch because these lights are bright and yes they do work on dimmers. I’m not sure what the color temp was on these bulbs but I would guess 3500, it’s a bright warm light.

In looking at some of the longer reviews I feel these lights are getting some unfair comments. First the build quality is very good, I had mine installed by an electrician and he liked them as well. The comment I read about them running hot and possibly melting is not something I experienced. I tested one for an hour before installing it and with a laser thermometer the hottest spot I could find was 118 degrees fahrenheit which is warm to the touch but certainly not hot. I'm not worried that the heat output will be an issue. During the initial installation there was a sync problem but I have six on one circuit, two on another and one on a third. With a few on and offs they all started working correctly and have consistently worked together switching between the main light and the ring. Both the main light and the ring are dimmable which is a nice feature and with my lutron smart dimmer the switch will remember the brightness level and apply it to both options. I don't see any flickering with my smart dimmer switch which was a problem with the LED bulbs I replaced with these lights. The set of six is on a two pole switch and it works fine. The 5-6 model has springs that adjust out with a set screw for my six inch cans. All of them fit fine and locked into place with no issues with them falling down. These lights are a good value for the money.

I picked these out for a friend building a new house. The contractor was a little hesitant to use lights from Amazon. He has already installed hats so these retrofits just screwed and snapped in. He was impressed with the color options and night lights. I was not there to get a picture of the night lights. The Black looks great with the cedar ceiling.

Super easy to install, did all 24 in less than one hour. Assuming you have the cans already in place. They look really sharp, and we love the "chill mode" night lights. You don't even have to change out your light switches.Only issue I've found is that we have two of them on a 3-way switch (3 switches controlling the same lights), and for some reason they got out of sync. One is on chill mode and the other on regular mode. I just had to unscrew the light socket to recalibrate them. Will be annoying if it keeps happenning. All the others (single switch and double switch) seem to be fine.Also, some of them don't fit super snug against the ceiling. The springs that you depress aren't fully grabbing the inside of our cans with as much tension as I'd like.

My house came with recess lights and one of them just went out, I try to find the same brand and they are expensive and they are not sold any more. Expensive I mean like 40 usd. So I start to look on other options and I found this one that looks just like the ones I have, they even have this switch to turn the light color, this actually matched my other fixtures. I bought this one and it works perfectly, not sure why people return this item but for me was just what I need it.They cost a fraction of whatever I thought I would spend and they look amazing so you should give it a try I'm sure they will do the work.

We really liked these lights, especially when we put them in the living room being able to turn the halo lights on during TV/Movies, etc.. looked nice and provided just enough light. However, we found that when used with a dimmer, smart or standard, the lights would become out of sync.. most would switch to reg or halo together, but one would be the opposite. I changed the dimmer switch to a basic dimmer instead of the Kasa Smaert Dimmer we initially used. That didn't fix it.. then, one of the lgilightsths just stopped working. We checked it in another, separate outlet, and it would light very dimly, fading in and out.. so.. looks like these lasted 2-3 weeks.. so frustrating. And.. these are all installed in 11' ceilings,. so getting them all down is gonna be fun, again.

We love the night mode even during the day. It looks so nice and warm. Regular lighting is just as good. It’s nice being able to choose the lighting temperature. I’ve had these for over a year. Easiest and cheapest way to replace old outdated recessed lighting without having to remove the old unit.

First, it takes the same time and effort to install one of these as it does to change a bulb. I like the fact it is aluminum vs plastic, better heat distribution, appearance and won't bend or distort colour over time. The clips and connectors are solid vs other brands. I also like the fact the led is recessed, it's a more elegant look and doesn't blind you when you look at it. I've used their 5/6 inch as well. A fantastic product.

This is an excellent product. Well designed and constructed. Aluminum and not cheap plastic. I've used the 4" and 6" and they install easy. For the 5/6" don't forget to adjust the width of the base holding the spring.I also like the fact these are recessed vs the thin wafers which I have in the basement. These look better for kitchen/living room/dining room and den which is where I've used them.
