I’ve been picking up distillers at Nellis Auction and these charcoal filters help polish the water as it condenses, helping to provide a neutral flavor. If you use many distillers you will want to turn it off when the water is about 2 inches from the bottom to avoid any burned smell,or taste if the minerals being left behind burn.

These were a bit bigger than the ones that came with my distiller but they do fit and do a good job of filtering the water. I will purchase again when needed.

Many years ago, our family used a distiller to provide better drinking water for us. Recently I moved to a new apartment and the water out of the tap left a filmy white residue on the inside of my glass, cooking pot or anything I used. That water prompted my decision to return to distillation and I have not regretted that decision as I drink my glass of good tasting good for me water. Thank you

I agree with other reviews: these sachets are bigger than the one sold by Megahome and just-just fits into the Megahome distiller. I bought these to save money, but it was actually a waste of money. Just 4 or 5 days after installing one of these filters, the distilled water had a different taste than what we were used to. Normally, the water is tasteless and very good to drink. Now it had a taste. Even my husband, who normally wouldn't notice, mentioned that the water had a bad taste. I replaced the filter with another one, but once again the water had a noticeable taste which is not to our liking. I've already ordered the real deal from Megahome and won't be buying this again.
