I have an antique fiddle as a family heirloom on which I've never changed the strings, so they had some rust spots on the strings. While I don't really play, I can manage to eek out a tune on it. After replacing the strings it does sound better. I can't say whether a musician replacing newer strings would notice such a difference though. The price on three sets of strings is really good!

Full disclosure: I am NOT a violinist. I came into possession of a 4/4 violin with a broken string. So, how can you beat a package with three full sets of strings at this price? Well, I really can't say, as I am not a violinist.At any rate, I replaced the offending string. The other three, on inspection, were in good shape (THAT much I know, having several guitars and knowing at least how to look for wear. Two YouTube videos later, I had it tuned up and ready to go.My only issue (cost a star) is the pictures in the listing. They show that the strings are color-coded, which is great, if you know what you're doing. As a novice, I had to depend on this in part to restring the violin...but the colors did not match the strings I received. As I stated, I was able to see video of the stringing process, and tuning process, so I was able to figure it out. If you just refer to the pics, you will not have success.So, learn from my mistake, or better yet, a violin teacher, but definitely get these strings if you're in the market.

I only needed to replace the E string, so all these strings are just back-up for me. The sound quality is pretty good, considering the price. You can’t expect top quality from these strings. You would have to pay a great deal more for that. However, to replace strings in a hurry, or for beginners, these strings are great. They seem very sturdy and respond well to bowing. I didn’t take off any stars, because you have to consider that you are paying a very low price for 3 sets. Generally, I am happy with these sets to just keep in my case in case I pop a string. All the sets come neatly wound together in a little plastic bag.

I'm not expert on violin strings. But I play guitar and these seem to be of decent quality. I got these as I was repairing a violin for a friend and put these on as replacements. They work exactly as needed. Very happy with them!

These are great quality strings with a great sound. Easy to tell which is which and very easy to replace.

I would not advise these for playing live or recording, but as a set to practice on between important performances, the price point makes these worth the purchase
