(1) It is true that these are not completely transparent, but close enough. I am storing spell cards for my D&D game and you can see in the photo that the tiny text is completely legible through the plastic.(2) The "fold" down the middle can be removed by boiling each sheet in water for 10 seconds and then pressing them between a couple paper towels for a minute. (Tips: (a) zip lock the pocket before boiling to keep out the water, (b) just dip the middle "fold" of the card holders so THOSE pockets don't fill with water.)(3) Plastic Smell? Boiling them in water also helps remove much of the chemical smell.

The pages were unexpectedly made of really sturdy material but not ridiculously thick. All of my pages were shipped in perfect condition (no folds or bends or broken zipper pieces). Would highly recommend and buy again.

I've been struggling to find these to fit into a journal/binder I have. They're sold at a good price and do well to maintain the stuff that I want to be added to my journal/binder. It's hard enough to find sleeves for A5 and even harder for 6 holes, but this was a good buy. I would definitely buy from here again when I get the opportunity.

These notebook organizers are great! When you insert cards and other objects in the plastic covering, they are completely visible - not obscured at all!!! There is NO fold that has to be boiled; they lie completely flat. There is a slight chemical odor, but not bad. I had to stick my nose ON the plastic in order to smell the chemical, so I'm sure it will dissipate quickly. I will purchase these again when needed.

Mine came folded lengthwise, I have a Jiffy steamer, or a tea kettle would work too. Just steamed the fold plastic relaxed let it dry and stayed flat. Ez.

Perfect for what I needed. I needed one card holder and one zippered pocket for my file and this was the best deal. The zippered pocket does come apart easily if you have to much stuff in it and you have to be careful to not rip the zip piece off of it, which seems easy to do. The card pockets are a great size and work perfectly.

Very disappointed! These were advertised as clear transparent envelopes. They are frosted. I'll keep them as their nice quality but they are not what I was paying for
