It does produce heat but just barely. If you hold it to your hands it’ll blow warm air to keep your hands warm but don’t expect it to warm up a vehicle. It couldn’t bring up the temp even one degree in a small ford focus after letting it run for 20 minutes. Temp outside was 34°.

Anyone that has ever purchased a heater like this has done so out of absolute necessity, because they are simply looking for a temporary solution while they figure out what's wrong with their regular car heater. These are not designed for long term/alternative heat sources. They are more of a band aid that will break the chill and clear enough of your windshield so you can get to work. This one served its purpose, as will any of the others that share this same technology. Purchase this with low expectations, get to work, count your blessings, fix your car heater and don't complain about the quality - It is what it is... By the way, your No Heat problem is likely due to low coolant level, a stuck thermostat, clogged heater core, stuck damper door or a fuse. You will likely find that the culprit is more a trivial nuisance and not anything catastrophic. It just presents itself at the most inopportune time.
