I installed this Lavalock High Temp Nomex gasket on a duel fuel Masterbuilt smoker. I believe my smoker is referred to as the 30" model. Reviews of the smoker say that installing a gasket turns the smoker from a good to a great system and I have to agree.I hesitated ordering this due to some of the negative reviews. Some customers are having issues with the gasket coming off even though they thoroughly cleaned, de-greased, and wiped the mounting surface with alcohol.I took a chance and ordered and am glad to say that I have not had this issue. In hindsight, I would have installed this prior to using my smoker but didn't know I would have issues with the smoker leaking. The included directions were good and clear on using a degreaser and alcohol and waiting at least 24 hours prior to using. I used a citrus (orange) based degreaser from Home Depot to initially clean the surface and then wiped it down with alcohol. I then adjusted the latches on the smoker so it fit snugly but not too tight to crush the gasket and waited 2 days before using it. I attached a photo of how it fit and looks on my smoker. On first use, the gasket greatly reduced and almost eliminated smoke escaping between the door and smoker. Instead of a steady stream of smoke escaping, I can barely see a faint wisp between the door and smoker from the hinge side of the door. I don't think tightening the latches further will help and I'm happy with how its working. I've used it twice so far for several hours with no evidence of it coming off.Overall, for the price, quality, and fit, I would highly recommend this product. It fit perfectly and works as designed. If anything changes, I will update this review.

Yes this gasket will work with your Traeger. Sadly for the money you spend on a Traeger it doesn’t come with a gasket but not a problem. Super affordable and efficient! Keeps smoke in while using smoker and very easy to set up. Just clean the edge of the hood with some Dawn to really get out all the grease and a scrub Daddy to make it easy, dry, and measure. You can use scissors or a box cutter and just peel the adhesive side off. Took probably 10 minutes and no more smoke leaks. Small but efficient tool to keep temp consistent while cooking.

These really sealed up an old heavy steel bbq pit we have. Value wise I think what I'm about to add is "okay" so I still rate them 4 out of 5. With the heat and weather they do eventually start to fall loose. This is true with very careful preparation steps taken, so it is what it is. Wire brushed, cleaned, rubbing alcohol, dry and stick. Even still, expect to replace at least annually if you're an avid bbq cooker. I'll keep buying it until I find something better for the value. Thanks!

I applied this to the lid of the cook chamber and the firebox of my Old Country Brazos DLX offset smoker. After a day with the lids sitting closed, the gasket material compressed enough to allow both lids to close up 100%. I applied when the grill was new after wiping down the area where it was to be applied with a few alcohol pads then running a blue torch around the lids slowly to assure all moisture was evaporated. I think the slightly warm metal helped the adhesive stick better. (It was a chilly 45 degree day when I applied the gasket material.). I allowed the lids to sit closed for about 16 hours before I fired the smoker up for it's initial burn off.I've got about 100 hours of use on the smoker and there is zero indication of she l any adhesive failure or damage to the gasket, even on the firebox lid. There is absolutely zero smoke escaping from either chamber. I couldn't be happier.

Cleaned up the lid per instructions and applied the gasket. Cuts easy and goes on easy. No more smoke leaking out of the lid.

Used it to seal my offset smoker - worked relatively well, not 100% seal but much better than before.

Had to restore an old BBQ pit my dad gave me. Built by had over 25 years ago. it had a few leaks and this fixed it right up. I have had it on my pit for over 2 years and it has not pealed or cracked. Make sure you clean the surface well and read the instructions.

Im happy to say that this product was a worthwhile investment. I recently purchased the Dynaglo offset box smoker, and as suggested, ordered the gasket as per recommendations from other Dynaglo users. After I assembled the smoker, there was a considerable gap in the door where hinge was welded. Prior to the gasket (had not arrived yet) the heat would fluctuate greatly when smoking and I was worried that the problem was not fixable. After receiving and apply the gasket, my smoker easily maintains 225 degrease for a long time. Assembly was easy, and I followed all the steps recommend on the package. Great Product, and Highly recommended.

I've been a fan of BBQ smokers for as long as I can remember. My grandpa used to smoke a mean brisket that would make your taste buds dance. So when I heard about this fancy new smoker seal, I had to give it a try for my middle of the road Traeger 750.Now, I'm not one to fall for all the fancy claims, but this gasket with “Lavalock†technology sounded pretty impressive. It's supposed to seal up any smoker or barbecue to keep the heat in and the smoke flowing. But, my fellow smoker lovers, I have to ask - do we really need a fancy gasket to make great smoke? Isn't the love and care we put into our meat what really matters? Well, yes. Yes it works and it’s really just a felt piece of weather stripping (to me).So, if you're in the market for a smoker seal, go ahead and give this one a try. But don't forget, the real secret ingredient is always a little bit of love.
