Super surprised about quality and how it cuts in concrete. Seller should offer the matching drill bit.

Used these to hang Starlink dish on my brick chimney, and drilled holes with an 8mm SDS bit.

Been using these for years. No complaints at all. Here are some tips for successful use:It is critical that a hammer drill with the correct size drill be used to pilot these. Allow 1/2" extra hole depth. I believe that a 1/4" or 5/16" bit works. Description says 1/4", which may be a little tight. Drill without lubricants so dust will be removed. A little dish soap or motor oil in the hole can help save your drill motor when driving the bolt, but try it dry first. Some concrete dust can help tighten the fit, but if too tight, a vacuum or compressed air blower can assist in cleaning the hole. A short length of wire in the hole can be used to tighten the fit. Stripped 12ga. or 14ga. copper wire work well. The bolts should penetrate smoothly in the right sized hole, but should show no play and be difficult to remove. Do a test assembly to insure success, security, and repeatability. Be patient. You will know when the fit is just right. If you run into problems, these tricks can help. When anchoring in concrete, every fastener is important.

The mellewell anchors exceeded my expectations when securing steel racking to a concrete wall. Comparable to Hilti anchors in performance but at half the cost, they offer exceptional value without compromising quality. A wise investment for any project requiring reliable anchoring solutions.

I got these for anchoring L-brackets to hold posts up in my barn. The nice thing about these types of screws is its easy to know what size drill bit to use as its the same as the screw size... 3/8". The aggressive teeth on the screw bite firmly and they hold extremely well. Just as any screw you would buy at the big box store!
