I did my research on the best color pencils for ppl on a budget. I love to color, but I needed pencils that were the best and offerable. These pencils are perfect. The buttery smooth holds their point and the colors are beautiful. So worth it.

I just got them swatched and I see the difference from my 120 gold set I bought a year or so ago. I hardly ever used them, they just didn't feel right. But when I seen these and it said new edition I couldn't pass them up for the price they were. The quality and they sharpened so nice I knew I hadn't made a mistake. Smooth, color lays down beautifully and blends easily, and them have them in order by number and grouped in 3 colors to be used together. The paper they give you explanations it better than I can.Anyway for the price and the case you can't go wrong. I really like these pencils and I'm going to order another set for back up!

I don't typically make reviews but I think these definitely need one so bear with me, the review is kinda long so if you scroll to the bottom I'll have a pros and cons lists.First these are Wonderful pencils, they feel smooth when your using them, they have nice colors, they feel nice to just hold, they are better than most pencils I've used and I color a lot.I am very heavy handed when a pencil becomes dull and these do not keep a point for very long, these are a soft core pencil so I wasn't expecting them to keep a point but if your heavy handed like I am you will need to sharpen them more often.I love that these come in a portable case, it makes it a lot easier for me to store them than if they were in a tin, tins do not like me unfortunately so the case is great.The case itself feels good and looks durable, the handle is a little awkward for me to hold, if it's closed and shaken I can't hear any pencils move however I found if I held the case vertical while it's open some pencils will fall out which didnt surprise me but if your getting these for kids its a good thing to know.Now the paint on the pencils isn't bad most of them are fine but some of the black circles are incomplete and I only found two pencils that had messed up words, overall pretty good the paint doesn't bother me but it's still worth mentioning.Something that does bother me though is one of the pencils had a sharp piece of I'm guessing hardened paint that is sticking out of it, it's only one and I can probably sand it down but it's something to watch out for especially if your buying these for a kid.Now you may have noticed my very messy swatches if you looked through my photos, I tried and failed to do a pressure gradient (light, medium, hard) but if you went through you may have noticed one of the colors is replaced with MIA, that is because one seems to be missing in action.I did indeed get 120 colored pencils but warm grey 2 (116-GS) has instead been replaced with another warm grey 1 (115-GS), this doesn't bother me and instead actually made me somewhat proud, that missing pencil is probably causing someone grief as you read this.In my photos I did try to take a picture of the pencils together and level so you can see how fast they go with a heavy hand, the pink pencil is completely unsharpened and the orange and blue grey I used in the coloring sheet above, the orange for the pumpkin and the blue grey for the ghosts (with the exception of the patchwork ghost).Pros: they feel nice to hold, they feel smooth to color with, nice colors, they feel relatively durable, the case feels durable.Cons: one of the pencils had a sharp piece of paint or something on the end of it, I got a duplicate in place of a color, the handle to the case is a little awkward for me to hold, some of the paint is messed up.Something worth mentioning is there was some transfer on the swatches, you can see it really well in the peach orange but nothing transfered in the coloring book I used, at least not yet, if there is I'll update the review.Overall these are fun to use, I like them, I don't know how they blend, i did try to blend with three of the grapes and the apple so you could look at them and decide for yourself (I probably didn't do it right lol).(In case you saw the coloring page and wanted the book it's called spooky hygge cozy and cute.)

I personally like the quality of the cores. I like the oil and wax mixture. They are a bit crumbly, but not excessive.

I am guilty of thinking that price = quality. NOT with these! These pencils are creamy, rich and vibrant. The laydown is smooth and blending is wonderful. (I haven’t experimented with blending mediums yet but only blending with layering technique.) The organizational qualities are second to none: 1. the storage case has the elastic bands holding the pencils far enough apart to facilitate getting your fingers actually in between the pencils! 2. Pencils have names, numbers and TONE/SHADE grouping right on the barrel but also in the pamphlet included. 3. the labeling on the pencils is super easy to read - nice and bold. These folks put a lot of thought into their product as well as, their packaging and it shows!

These pencils had several cracks in the wood around the tips. And several have the names already coming off. But I do really enjoy coloring with them. Oh and the order doesn't make sense to me but that is probably a me thing.

I really enjoyed coloring with these. They feel good in the hands, they're very smooth, and they didn't break once when I sharpened them. They have quite a bit of pigment in them too. Again, it's a very good set of budget colored pencils.

I was looking for a friendlier price point for more shades, and this was recommended by a fellow coloring book fan. I am impressed; they are soft and easy to control for shades and blending. Not to mention the volume of colors, I love it! Good purchase, and I do recommend these pencils!
