Strong connection
The spring and nut are crimped to make the connection more durable.
Insert the channel nut
Keep the strut spring nut parallel to the strut channel and press it in.
Press and rotate
Turn the channel spring nut 90 degrees and release, the nut completes self-aligning.

These strut rod retainers are of excellent quality. They are comparable to big brands but come at a 40% discount. The thickness and zinc plating make them possibly even better than what I previously used.

These are very good quality spring nuts for use in strut channels. Every bit as good as the big brands but at a 40% savings. Actually, between the thickness and the zinc plating, they may be better than what I've been using. The only negative I found was quite a few were tangled when I opened the box - see photos. It might have just been particularly bad handling during delivery. They untangled relatively easily so I didn't think it was worth dropping a star. If you use these they are well worth giving a try.

These are very nice strut rod retainers. Good spring pressure and easy to move inside the strut with no excessive play. The consistency is also great with no burrs or bad threads.

I needed an assortment of sizes of strut nuts for a greenhouse propagation shelf made from strut channel and hardware cloth. These smaller size channel nuts were useful for the low-load-bearing parts of the shelving, like holding the hardware cloth in place in multiple spots.They worked as expected. I do find the springs a little harder to get used to, but they have their purpose and do hold the nut so you can set the bolt.

I ordered these strut nuts to use with a 4-way wood panel clamping set. I will use them to connect the included plastic notched parts as well as making some notched parts from wood. The threads are clean and smooth. The springs work fine, although I’ll take them off for the clamps project.

These nuts are actually BETTER than the name brand ones I recently purchased at a big box retailer. Specifically, I found that the store 1/4 inch nuts were thinner than their 1/2 inch ones – say, only about 1/4 in thick, too – while these are closer to 3/8. That means I’m getting at least a couple of full thread turns, and I always appreciate a stronger connection.I really have nothing negative to say… I’d recommend these for any project.

Buy this rather than the more expensive name brand version. This is what you need to lock or prevent your dolly on your strut from leaving the strut ends. This basically acts as a stop for the channel.
