This is great for the shelves in my iguanas room! Good for him to grip! I have actually sprayed and washed it down as well.

I have been using this product for a few years now and it really works well for me. I live in an area where the temperatures can be very high in summer and the soil is not acidic, thus allegedly I should not be able to grow Rhododendrons which need a very cool spot and acidic soil.Thus I line the inside edge of big wine barrels with a triple layer of this coconut fibre all around every part of the inner edges of large wooden wine barrels, and any gaps between the layers I fill with peat moss. Then I fill the wine barrel with acidic soil with some additional peat moss and a tiny sprinkle of iron chelates. Topped by a generous layer of pea straw on top of the soil but not touching the stem of the plant. Plus I choose one of two sites I have that block the hot sun during the day and block the late afternoon sun, but is exposed to some morning sun.Results are my four lovely rhododendrons and the luculia and the camellias are all thriving and have been surviving through several very hot summers. That could not happen without the use of this marvellous very dense coconut fibre.
