I'm not actually using these for a PC case (the most common use-case), though I do have similar but larger grills for PC use.I bought these to use in a custom 3D-printed case for a Meanwell Power Supply which I'm using for LED lighting. The PSU has a very open frame (for heat ventilation), and I wanted to keep dust out of it (one of these is sitting in a storage cupboard, and the other on top of kitchen cabinets) but without blocking the heat dissipation. I thus designed and 3D-printed (using HTPET+ filament from Fusion Filaments) a case for the PSU that still allowed ventilation around the PSU chassis, while using these filters to stop dust accumulating in the PSU.They've worked great for that purpose, and I'm sure would work just as well for use with suitably size fans in a PC case or other similar application.

These dust shrouds for 120mm PC case fans work beautifully, they have little to no noticeable performance drawbacks in terms of air flow, but are fine enough mesh to catch most hair and dust. They don’t rub against my PCs case fans and they also don’t make the front panel less lit up from the RGB fans, they seem to perform perfectly and are easily accessible, as well as easy to install. Great product!!

I ordered a 4 pack of these black pc fan grilles to remodel my wife’s gaming pc. They are a sturdy aluminum build and fit 120mm pc fans perfectly. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a simple but effective fan cover. Great value for the price.

A good quality wire mesh screen for fans. However, the mesh size is not small enough to really protect the fan from dust and dirt. For example, I poured some granulated sugar over one and most of the sugar went straight thru. For hair, dust bunnies, etc it will work fine; just expect to see some dust buildup inside your equipment over time. The other thing that was a bit confusing at first is you install with the screw hole concave surface facing against the cabinet - not outside which would seem reasonable to have the screws be flush. If mounted with concave holes out then the edges of the filter have a 1/16" or so rise off the cabinet surface - defeating the screen function entirely. So make sure you have the concave hole openings towards the cabinet (filter fits flush); the screw heads will be sticking a bit.The accordian aspect of the mesh gives the filter some strength to protect things from poking in; however I found adding a regular finger guard on top gives me a better state of mind that something won't poke a hole into the filter and let the screw heads be more flush with the guard.I'm reasonably pleased with the filter as the larer openings in the mesh won't have a serious impact on airflow; but then the filtering capability is not that great for ordinary dust/dirt. A compromise for pretty much any of these muffin fan filters. The other alternative would be using the filter backwards and installing a anti-vibration gasket. I considered this but decided I didn't want to buy yet another product. However the gasket would seal the filter as well as allow using the concave holes with the tapered head screws - just a thought

Pros:-Inexpensive to purchase, yet quality material-Cleans easily-Prevents dust without compromising airflowCons:-I have 5 fans and its a 4 pack (Personal Problem)I decided to install extra fans into my computer case and I ordered these to go along with it. I have a cat and he generates a lot of hair that always finds its way into my computer. I originally worried that they would hamper the amount of airflow, but my fans are largely unaffected. These have worked wonderfully to keep my case cleaner and less dusty. Every two weeks or so I will wipe down the grills and marvel at the amount of dust they kept out of my case. You'll find yourself performing less deep cleans on the motherboard and gpu.

Initial impressions before even using them was pretty good. Pulling them out I was pleasantly surprised at the feel of these filters. They are solid things made completely out of metal. Not flimsy at all like most dust filters, these things have some build quality to them.Unlike most dust filters which are just a piece of plastic with a bunch of tiny holes drilled into it (which tends to be very restrictive) these are a bunch of small metal wire criss crossed in a metal frame. Put into normal terms they are like a screen in a window. Comparatively they are much less restrictive than normal air filters. The only issue I have is that I can't exactly use them. My case has a very odd front fan mounting system which uses long screws (like radiator screws) and the elevated screw holes on these filters make it impossible to get the screw to reach my cases screw holes. So I guess I'll be modifing my case. But on any normal case with normal fan mounting then these should be great.

These grills do a fine job at keeping dust out, but if you plan to mount them onto a PC, consider having spare room between where you place your fans and these things. They can substantially hinder how much airflow is drawn into your case, and would probably serve a better job at keeping dust out from the ceiling, or even below if your PSU and components are not overtly demanding. As for front-case filters, if there is a nominal amount of space between your fans and front-panel mesh, just buy another mesh instead. These will suffocate your intake and, even with anti-vibrational mounting, make them sound much noisier.

The design is good, but I needed longer screws to make it fit which made it difficult to assemble. Putting long screws should help.
