Do not buy this pump! It has not worked good since day one. It barely pumps fluid out. I tried returning it, but I was unfortunately past the return period. I would never buy this again. If I could give it no stars I would.

I got this to empty a septic tank, and it did a great job, even against some trash, sand, and roots. It has a cast iron exterior, but strangely, the impeller is plastic, which kind of defeats the purpose of the other iron parts. Everything else is what I would call 5 star, but I have to rate it based on its weakest link, the cheap impeller - 1 rock could kill it.

Sturdy cast iron pump that feels built to last. The 2" NPT outlet made installation quick and hassle-free. Runs smoothly and does the job well. Happy with the purchase!

Pumps great. I don't see much difference in operation between this and the 3/4hp unit, but I suppose it pumps more and I am unable to measure that. It was easy to plumb into the crock, plugged right in and fired right up. Been working good since the install. Not noisy at all, in fact its hard to know if its running. It just sits there and does its thing. Time will tell how much better this is than the 3/4hp when we get a few really heavy rains this winter, I will report back if things change. So far, so good.

If you live in the country then there's a good chance that you have a sump pump and as every home owner knows that there's always a chance of it failing creating a flood so having a good heavy duty sump pump is a must. This one works very well, I love the construction of it as it's made out of cast iron so very heavy duty and built to be tough.I got this to replace my existing one that is wearing out and in general it's always good to have a back up just in case. Everything fit very well, had no issues and would highly recommend getting this pump - it may be on the pricier side however it's for sure worth the piece of mind to make sure nothing happens.

We are using this pump as a backup for this year, and we plan to use it as a replacement next year because our sump pump is reaching the end of its service life. The pump is well-made and has a good-sized ring for pulling it out of the sump. It has a 2-inch depth to the bottom of the sump from the raised portion and a 2-inch discharge. The float valve is adjustable, and the power cord is a good length to reach your sump and then over to a dedicated outlet. The casting is a bit rough and has some unfinished and uncoated parts. One downside is that no grate protects the impeller from large materials, and the impeller itself is made of plastic. The bolts keeping everything together are stainless steel, and the unit is grounded, but it does not have safety certifications. It's worth noting that the output flow rate is quoted in gallons per hour, but it is actually 87 gallons per minute, which is a significant flow.In summary:- As a sump pump, it may be more powerful than necessary for most situations.- As an effluent pump, it's well-suited even with the plastic impeller.- As a sewage pump, the plastic impeller may not be ideal. The no-load amps were 4.28A, so the 1HP rating is accurate for the pump.Compared to other options in the market, it’s competitively priced and offers fair value.

Although the pump worked briefly there was hard pieces of foreign material that destroyed the plastic impeller. I can't find any information about ordering spare parts. Any information appreciated.

Quick Review:So this is a necessity in the small Hamlet that I live in.Every home is equipped with a sump pump as the water table is very high here.I don't ever want my basement to flood so I proactively replace my sump pump every 4 years. This is extremely well built and heavy thanks to the cast iron construction. The 2 inch discharge is fairly standard and was the right size for my pipe.Extra long cord for easy placement. The automatic hanging float works as expected, and evacuates water quickly once triggered. The 4680GPH are going to fluctuate with head height and distance, but it shouldn't have any issues keeping up with a sump.Overall, it's well built, works well, and I really don't have anything bad to say here.
