I'm VERY pleased that these touch switches!!! I purchased several of them nearly 10 years ago in stores and they are still working great! I have used them for holiday lights and to turn on simple table lamps that are awkward to reach. I have even used them to add a simple way to turn on my cabinet lighting in the kitchen. I was SOOO happy to find that these are still available and purchased some for my family, so my mom can easily turn on her bedside lamp from the bed. These use a simple relay as a switch so the work with incandescent, fluorescent and LED lighting! For as long as they have lasted me, its well worth the cost.

Love this little device! I’ve been using one for at least a decade and some of the wires were looking frayed so I picked up a new one this year. They’re so convenient! Just plug the lights in, weave the wires through the branches a bit to hide them, and place the little tree somewhere easy to find. It looks like an ornament and you just touch it to turn everything on or off. It always works and makes lighting the tree a simple process.

For my Christmas tree i had one similar to it for over 15 years and it finally when out my son found this for me to buy keeps me from unplugging the tree every night

I purchased one of these many years ago and the family wanted to know where they could get theirs. So I searched the internet and found some on eBay but they were overpriced for what I expected to pay. Amazon saved the day and found me several sources to choose from and I placed my order. These are fun for children to see how they can magically turn the lights on and off. Carlon is a quality company and the quality shows with these items as well. They operate perfectly, blend right in with the rest of the ornaments and eliminate having to crawl down on hands and knees to unplug and plug in the lights. Easy to operate, easy to store and another element of magic on Christmas day. I highly recommend this product to others.

Years ago I had a similar product to this - it looked like a standard ball decoration, but it worked as an on/off switch to the tree... it also had a dimmer function so I could get three levels of light intensity. I had it for years and it worked perfectly right up to the end, but the wire was thin and one year it didn't work.So I bought this product thinking it was basically the same... it's not. At all. First, it is pretty cheap in construction and material...I thought it might last the season, but this is not something I will be using in years to come for sure.It lasted about TWO WEEKS. And it didn't even work very well right out of the package... the metal is too sensitive. Like you breath on it and it turns off. Really frustrating. But last night, in the middle of the night I wake up and notice it's really bright in the other room, and find the tree is on. I live alone. So I walk out and turn the tree back off. 5 minutes later, the tree turns back on... I walk out, turn the tree off. I don't even get out of the room before the tree switches on again! Nothing is touching it!! So I unplug the whole thing from the wall and go back to bed.This morning I get up, plug the tree back in... nothing. It won't turn on. I disconnect the tree from the ornament and plug the tree directly to the wall - Tah Dah! So I know it's not the tree. It's the piece of crap ornament that isn't working. Seriously?! Two weeks? I am very disappointed.

We have one of these on both trees. makes it very easy to turn the tree on and off. Only word of caution is, if you have a cat, hang the switch high enough that their tail wont touch it. LOLAlso, garland will carry a static charge and if it's touching the switch it will be enough to turn the lights on or off. So just dont hang the switch where it is touching your garland.

I love this ornament! It's so nice to be able to waddle out to my living room in the afternoon when I wake up and not have to fiddle with the plug on the tree while half asleep. I just touch this ornament and BAM! Tree is lit. As a bonus, the first time I used it, I scared the crap out of my Husband by pretending to be electrocuted. 11/10, would buy again.
