Kindly reminder:
- Before you use the 2" and 3" random orbital air sander, please add 2-3 drops of oil from air quick connector and please allow the tool to run for a few seconds after filling to make sure it works well. (oiler not included in our box)
- This tool is intended to be operated as a handheld tool and is air-powered. It requires an air compressor that will provide a clean lubricated air, where the air hose is connected to the tool when the tool is running.

This SI Fang 2"/3" mini orbital sander is a very fine tool. I purchased it for final sanding and prep of bare sheet metal on a 1983 Subaru Brat. I am using it with a 2.5 hp Makita comoressor which puts out 4.2 cfm @90psi and I think the tool could use a bigger compressor. Si Fang and other makers of this type of orbital pneumatic sanders should offer a Rol Lock attachment for sanding pads. This would make the tool much more useful as sandpaper is not the best thing for stripping rust and old paint from automotive sheet metal. Every mandrel I have seen on Amazon has plain-ended shafts either 1/4" or M6. To mount the mandrels you need make threads, in this case M6, to mount onto the tool.

The sander works good. The disks are ok but wear quickly. I haven't tried the buffing pads

If you just need a inexpensive sander/polisher for a few usesthen this one should do the job.

It worked extremely well for a few hours -- then it stopped. I used it to polish clearcoat. Returning item.
