There’s nothing to dislike about these eyepieces. I ordered a 20mm, 32mm, and this 40mm a day ago. I swapped out my go-to televue eyepiece in my scope and put these to the test. All provide very clear images that are contrasty. I snapped a photo of the moon with my iPhone through the 40mm eyepiece. I thought the picture was pretty cool, but it still couldn’t do the actual image justice through my 8†SCT. I would regard these as an excellent value for the money. They are very well made, and can accommodate the 1.25†threaded filters.

Well packaged and put together. I like that the edges and barrel are blackened but why settle for a more expensive 40 mm that only has a 40 to 48 degree field of view? That extra 50 to 52 degree field. can make a big difference. Fully coated and sturdy.

Like the eye relief and having over 50° field of view is what all my lenses need to have, older eyes need the help.

Wow! I can't believe the difference this eyepiece made. This is hands-down the best 25mm eyepiece I've ever used; but take that with a grain of salt because I'm not that experienced. We have two telescopes, both of which came with Kellner 25mm eyepieces, so nothing special. I've also used a SVBONY 23mm wide-angle 62-degree eyepiece, not to mention a small variety of other eyepieces with different focal lengths, AFOVs, and styles (Kellner, Plossl, etc). This CelticBird eyepiece blows ALL of them out of the water. I'm dumbfounded at how clear and sharp the image is. All I can say is "Wow!" I mean, I'm sure there are much better eyepieces on the market than this one (Tele Vue, Explore Scientific, Baader, ...), with correspondingly higher price tags of course, but for a budget priced eyepiece the CelticBird has far exceeded my expectations and has quickly become my favorite eyepiece. It's not often when a product takes me completely by surprise (in a good way) like this one has. Wow!Tip: If you want to search for more CelticBird items, there's a little glitch. I've discovered that the Amazon search engine separates CelticBird into Celtic Bird, and you end up with no useful search results. Enclose CelticBird in double quotes and then you'll find what you seek. Sometimes there is a "Search for CelticBird instead" link you can click on that will do the same thing, but it hasn't always come up for me.-----------------------Update: 1/27/2023-----------------------I have since purchased the 40mm and 8mm eyepieces. The 40mm is another excellent product. I love the 40mm almost as much as the 25mm. Definitely a good one to have. The jury is still out on the 8mm, though. It's not that it's a "bad" eyepiece--it's as good as its bigger siblings, optically speaking--but the eye relief is... well... in order for me to see the entire circle of view, my eyeball pretty much has to touch the lens. There comes a point when Plossl eyepieces are more trouble than they're worth; and the cutoff point is around 12.5 mm. Below that, you might want to seriously consider an alternate design.
