Perfect for that new hunter! Durable back board for dragging out a deer in a tricky spot or even out of the woods on a trail! Straps on to you for pulling pressure. Very functional if you can't get a side by side or cart back to where your deer laid down!

Great price! I pulled a 85lb deer a mile down a gravel road and it has a few cuts but I will tell you I would buy 100 of these if that's what it took. Makes the job way easier just wish it had some clips instead of having to run the rope through there like an engineer to keep the deer in. But I won't go without one ever again.

My family regularly gets 5-8 whitetails off our combined property in Michigan each year, and sometimes they are challenging to drag up ravines and over trees and brush. I got this for us all to use when needed. It is a heavy piece of plastic with metal grommets, some rope for trying, a shoulder pull strap, and a plastic handle. The description says one side is smooth and the other rough, but there really is not that much difference. The plastic is similar to those roll-up snow sleds but a bit heavier material. The length and width are okay, but a big buck is going to be hanging off (fine by me as I usually get a doe for the freezer). I like the shoulder strap idea...once you get the deer ropes on, you can really use your shoulders and legs to pull rather than having to twist around and heave. (Oh, did I mention I'm a 56 year old 5' 2" female, and my dad is 86? These days we'll take a bit of help when it is available.)The only downside to this I see would be having to pack it in with you. It's not super-heavy, but more than I usually carry with me. I might just stage it at one of the central trails on the property, and then go get it if it is needed.

Even though I have not used this thing for an actual deer, I have definitely pulled it out and had my dog lay on it as I drag him across the living room just to see how it would work. It worked amazing.

No matter how you look go about it, retrieving a deer is a lot of work. But I know from experience that sleds like this really can help you get your carcass out of the woods (especially if you hunt in relatively smooth or grassy terrain). As advertised, this one is made from a thick and tough plastic. Importantly, it is also slick—which reduces the amount of effort required. It has some other nice features too. Its drag rope has a reflective strip, and it even comes with a shoulder pad to help even out the strain. But what I really like is its blaze orange color (typically similar products are black). The added safety and visibility these features provide are great.Overall the build of this product is really good compared to other game sleds I have tried. Really good. I only wish I had a deer to test it out with.

Barely made it 100 feet on flat ground before the eyelets busted out.

Works well even where there is no snow on the ground – but OVERPRICEDThis is a very useful deer drag sled that rolls up for easy hauling and storage. It is not super heavy duty, but it is plenty strong enough for hauling deer. It is made thicker and stronger than the last roll up plastic sled I used a lot. I have used a rigid kid’s type toboggan sled for dragging deer, but by design that type of sled is huge and cumbersome to pack and haul around. Every hunting situation is different so you need different types of sleds. When there is snow on the ground I use the toboggan sled to haul my gear to the far away tree. When I am walking in, when there is no snow, this roll up sled is just perfect for backpacking strapped to my climbing treestand carry harness. It works real well to place the head, with or without antlers, at the trapezoid end and roll it up over the head to make a rounded front end. It comes with a nice rope for strapping the deer to the sled. If not for the exorbitant over price this sled would deserve the full 5 Star Rating.

So I have pulled the kids around the yard with this thing and of course it is easier then it would be to dragging them and slides over bumps, branches and small trees. The sash strap thing definitely makes it easier to use your whole body versus just your arms. And if there is snow it would work even better. The directions could be better, I'm not even 100% sure how the have everything tied. I guess you don't really need directions, because it's more of a put the ropes whereever and however it is going to hold what you are dragging. I think it would make more sense if it was one long rope instead of two pieces.
