They are very stiff, no spring at all, all one piece. The opening is a bit looser than my hoops so in a good wind the cover slides over, exposing the plants. I’ll use more stakes through the fabric edges next time. Wouldn’t buy them again.

Made a half sheltered green house for my little garden that's located in tye front of my house. I get the morning and afternoon sun, so need it for protection of my little plants. These little green clips are very durable, especially during the rain season of where I'm located. 😊

I was a bit disappointed with these clips. They are quite inflexible and will only fit a post by using a great deal of pressure. I have given up using them and will instead search for clips that have spring action.

I purchased a couple of different clips to use on the hoop frames in my raised beds. All others failed mostly because they tore the fabric beneath the clip (frost fleece as well as insect netting). I placed a second order to replace the less than successful other clip products.

This clip is made of hard plastic and did not work as I expected it to. There is no spring involved, so it does not spring closed once pressed open, like you would expect. It comes partially open to begin with and is very difficult to squeeze the tabs together to open the clip if you're trying to attach it to a wire, or stick, that is slightly wider than the opening of the clip. For example, I had some thin bamboo sticks forming a teepee over a plant, and I tried to use this clip to secure a frost cloth to the bamboo sticks. Because the bamboo was slightly thicker than the opening of the clip, it was extremely difficult to squeeze the tabs together in order to get the clip over the bamboo. Once I was ready to remove the frost cloth, I could not open the clip wider than it was to remove them. I had to use a pair of pliers to remove them from the sticks.When using the clips to secure a frost cloth to a hoop wire, the wire was thinner than the opening of the clip, so unless I tripled up the frost cloth around the wire before using the clips, I found them scattered on the ground. You really have to have a specific thickness in wire or stick in order for these clips to work. I would not buy these again.
