This review is about the black tuners. I bought these to go on cigar box guitars that I thought would look better with black hardware. They are only a tiny bit better than the open gear tuners that a lot of people use on CBGs. Not smooth. Don't tension evenly so they are tough to tune and they don't stay in tune very well. They don't even "feel" good.Look, I'm not expecting Kluson or Grover tuners at this price, but these are junk.

Sealed tuners, even at dirt cheap prices, are useless when they arrive in pieces because the gear screws were never tightened. 'Just hate to see anyone lose money on this gamble. Weak gear material and poor tolerances make this a risky purchase as well. Please be wary.

Tuning pegs are light-weight which is great because they don't add to the weight of the instrument. However, there is a major issue with the screws. 3 out of 6 broke from head. This is a major issue because extracting the other end from the instrument is almost impossible without damaging the instrument.
