Needed a key for a old chest i refinished. Not knowing much about them I picked this set and it worked out! Plus now - 1 key i have a nice display set.

I needed a key for 2 antique secretary desks. Having the key gives me something to grab to open the desks. I hoped I would find a key for each desk out of this large group of keys and I did!

I recently began the process of refinishing a small dresser when I realized that the drawers had keyholes. While the drawers opened fine without any keys, I thought it would be neat to have a working key for the locks. I ordered these thinking if none of them work, the keys hanging from one of the knobs or sticking out of the keyhole would still look nice. To my surprise, the very first key I tried worked! I tried all the others, and none of them worked. So, I've got a working key and a few decorative keys... but I've also got one broken key (see 2nd picture). I am a little bummed about that but at the same time, super excited that one of the keys actually works! If the seller would like to send me a replacement for the broken key, I wouldn't mind (wink wink nudge nudge) ðŸ˜

VERDICTSo so.WHYThis is an extensive kit - 12 pieces (keys). This is great if you have an antique piece of furniture and hope to find a key that will work. Also, there are 2 keys that are large enough for door locks. I particularly like the brass-colored key with a large, ornate head. So why the rating of 3 stars? The keys are cast iron and feel cheap. These keys will absolutely break if you put too much pressure on them. However, they work well as decorative keys. Perhaps buy two sets and have a "key party" matching up the same key, heheh.

We have an old house built in the 20s and this set of old keys has come in super handy!! Excellent Quality and variety for the price.

We broke our key to unlock an antique hutch/writing desk cabinet. We thought we would have to go to a locksmith in a different town and spend a lot of money to have it replaced. What a great thing to order this set...we found one to fit ! And it comes with a large to put all them on...(.even though we don't need them )
