These were worth the money the 1st time I used them because of the saved aggravation. I was working on an old Mercedes diesel and the PO had drilled a allen head bolt. None of my old school extractors could get a decent grip.I tapped this one in and was finished in about 2 minutes including the time it took to open the toolbox and find the right size.

I had a stripped allen bolt on transmission pan and the 1/4 bit from this tool extracted in 1 shot. I also used it to extract a stripped screw on my washing machine. Works will update again after trying on a rusted bolt.

The metal of the hex head bit appears to be too soft for its purpose. Bit did not bite or seize interior of stripped bolt. In trying to do so, I found the extractor head to be badly worn, after the first try. See photo.

I was shocked to find the bit set so dull, I'm sure a spoon would have been able to pull my stripped bolt out quicker. Not worth the money. However, the company reached out and wanted to make things right, which I truley appreciated. So I'll give them props for wanting to make the situation right.

So I originally gave this 3 stars but I realized that I had been too quick to use this item without using penetrating oil first and I broke one of the bits... I reached out to the company and they were super quick to respond and help me out... Excellent product and excellent customer service...

They appear to be well made and durable and worked great for extracting the oil pan bolt I was having trouble with. I hope to not have to use them often, but I believe they will hold up well.
