After installation, although it looks good, the surface of the brick actually cracked when used in a high temperature environment. I originally planned to use it in the fireplace, but I could see the cracks every time I used the fire, which made me feel very unsafe. Overall, this shopping experience was very disappointing and I would not recommend buying it.

I bought 2 different types of brick and these were not as brittle as the other brand. Cut easily for placement and so far no issues. Great price too!.

I lined the bottom of my smoker's fire box with these bricks and the results were AMAZING. I not only used a lot less wood, but my temps were way more even, which as any BBQ'er knows is key to great, consistent Q.

These are perfect for lining an offset smoker firebox. Just use some RTV or fire calk to glue it. They cut easily to make the angle perfect.
