This Torx set is well made. Seems like it will be durable and last a while. The bits are long enough to give you a bit of extra length when you need it. This also helps to find them if you drop them. It comes with all the normally needed sizes. Works very well with a magnetic bit holder.

I’m not using these in an impact driver so I can’t speak to strength. I’m using them for knife maintenance and the thing that drew me to this set was sizes from t5 to t40. Most of my knives need t6, t8, and a few t10s. But I have one knife that requires a t20 for the pivot screw. This set covers that whole range AND they are 3 inches long. I wish they were not the security bit type (just because I find the smaller sizes usually twist out of shape more easily than the solid tip versions). So far they are working well and fit great. One odd thing that doesn’t hamper functionality but looks weird is that the t5 through t10 have a longer hex shank portion than the t15 through t40 (see picture comparing the t10 and t15). I’m not sure who in their right mind would put a t6 security bit in an impact driver but I guess they would deserve whatever mayhem ensues. I wouldn’t blame these bits in that situation, even if they do claim to be “impact ratedâ€. Overall these are a great value and they work like they should.

I admit having to do a double-take when I saw the price (delivered price!) of this Torx bit set. Not only is it "impact rated", but they're the security bits, and will work with both the security Torx hardware (with the tiny little raised cylinder in the middle of the fastener) but with regular Torx hardware as well. The form factor - using the ubiquitous hex base - makes these a future go-to for many jobs, since they'll fit in several different bases - a screwdriver base designed for the hex bits, my cordless drill, which will work for anything other than high-torque applications, and finally my cordless impact driver, which includes a 1/2" to hex adapter. In the past, I often ended up using a cumbersome 1/4", 3/8", or even 1/2" drive "socket" to do a very low-torque Torx fastener, but now I have a better way that will be faster and easier.
