I used this to replace a “cigarette lighter†12V outlet in a 2014 Tundra. It did require a little massaging (grinding) of the opening to get it to fit but it was minimal and the original port could likely go back in if needed. After that, hookup was a breeze if you can crimp/solder wires.The backlight looks good without being gaudy. It’s nice to be able to turn it off with a button if needed. The cover fits well without being difficult to open but you’re probably better off just removing it anyways.

Fast charging and the quality is great for the money. It's bright enough during the day and awesome at night. I've my cigarette lighter for this and the appearance is much better for me then the way it looked. I'm happy with the performance as it charges multiple cell phones. I put one up front, second row seating (back of console) and one in the 3rd seating area. Everyone gets access to charge up thier device. Easy to install and even has a fused power wire which is a plus that i didn't know it came with. I'm very happy with it

Nothing bad to say about these. They went in easy, and work like a champ! They fewl solid, and well made. They have a blue backlight that's attractive, but not distracting. I like the power button, and the cover slides right off if you don't want to use it. I'd certainly buy them again, and recommend them.

Have these hooked up for extra charge points in various spots.They work great and charge fast which I don’t care for I prefer slow charge so it does damage my battery but eh.I took off one star because of it being back lit and not being able to shut the light off.The light is very distracting when something is charging at nightIt’s also very annoying.There is no reason for all these extra lights and readings. You can’t open the device to shut the light off as it is sealed.Give me a non lighted option and I’d buy it all day and. Night long.

These have been in my truck wired directly for a while now and the charging is fast, they are metal so they have good quality. I love the option to turn them off and on

I have this hard wired right to my battery. It's really not the best way to do it. It does have a fuse and that's great but still not the best way to do it. I've had it in for 3 months and the fuse finally blew. Although it's not the right way to do it it is still working fantastically; just going to have to change the fuse tomorrow.

My friend's 10 year-old Ford Focus had a lighter/outlet cover that broke...probably not that well made to begin with, so I told him I could install a USB charger instead of fixing the existing port. I found this one on Amazon and installed it just today. It is very well made and has a nice cover to keep dirt and debris out. The on/off button feels very solid, and though time will tell, all-in-all this seems like a great use of the old 12V outlet. It fit into the existing hole without any modifications, and I kept the in-line fuse in place before hard-wiring it, just as a second safety measure. Will update this review if it fails prematurely.

Ich habe den Zigarettenanzünder in meinem VW-Bus durch die USB-Steckdose ersetzt. Funktioniert einwandfrei. Das wichtigste Detail ist der Ein-/Aus-Knopf auf der Steckdose. Denn in meinem T6 hängt der Zigarettenanzünder am Dauerstrom, das heißt: Die Steckdose würde ständig blau leuchten und damit Strom verbrauchen – auch beim Parken. Dies wäre nicht gut für die Batterie. Ich musste meinen Bus trotzdem nicht aufwändig auf Starter-Strom umbauen, denn die Steckdose lässt sich mit einem Druck auf den Schalter ausschalten. Sehr gut!
