Purchased these Nov. 2022 and finally got around to using one of these boring bars. Worked excellent for what I needed, although I was just opening up the bore of some pvc connectors. I will update review after using the other bars and using on steel and aluminum if these don’t hold up as they should.

2 of the 4 holders would not allow the carbide insert to seat properly. When tightened, the screw forced the rear vertical edge of the insert against the vertical holder seat which raised the bottom of the insert off of it's seat .030" at the front of the bottom seat which is below the cutting edge. This is due to the incorrect angle of the vertical seats in the holder. Also, there are burrs on the outer edges of the holder that would need to be removed before use.

My tool did not come with a carbide insert like the description claims.Edit: Seller was extremely nice when I contacted them and said I was the only one who had this problem. I was able to work out a solution with them. Great service!
