This tool was terrible. I read the instructions twice and watched several YouTube videos on how to use it to make sure everything went smoothly and I was confident. Which I was. But when time came to break and rivet my chain, it was extremely difficult and it constantly felt like something was going to break. The tool had me continuously thinking, "Am I doing this right?" I managed to break the old chain with this, but it wasn't easy and it deformed the 3.8mm pin in the progress of doing so - eliminating the potential for future use of this tool. Then, when it came time to rivet the new master link chain... same situation. Extremely difficult, constantly fussing with the tool, returned to watch YouTube videos two times to verify proper use of the tool. As I cranked down to rivet the master link, it felt as though it was pushing the links plates tighter together, which is not supposed to happen at all at this step... and then the tool snapped in half. Sparks flew and the metal sheered. "Wow..." Luckily i didn't get hurt. This tool is clearly built for one time use and not meant for installation on a quality made chain. I will have to find someone with a better chain riveting tool to finish the job for me. Money and time poorly spent ordering, waiting for and using this tool.

A lot of reviews say the tool snaps which also did for me but you need to use the adapter that fits over the entire rivet and not the one that sits inside the rivet hole. Once I figured that out it came right off with some elbow grease. Great tool hopefully I don’t need to use anytime soon but did exactly what I needed it too. 10/10

Hard to use funky low quality several parts already broken But it did get the job done. Definitely get what you pay for.Update there customer service team reached out and resolved my issues.

Kit worked fine for breaking old chain and riveting new link onto new replacement chain.First time I've riveted a chain and by watching youtube videos and taking my time I got the rivet heads to mushroom to spec. My chain was a 520 HID.

works could be better i got this to work on bikes and go-carts mainly it does work but it is a bit on the cheaper side so you are getting what you pay for now it does work and if you're only using it here and there would be fine, but I'd buy a better one if you're using it a lot but if you need and dont want to put a lot of money in to it it works and gets the job done

I have had this tool for over a year now and I have used it 3 times. Does the job well for the price. If you use it properly and take care of it, it should last. I broke one of the pieces of my own fault when not using it for its intended purpose.

Just like many other reviews. Breaker pin bent immediately so I cut the chain off. Yea, I did it right but it's just chinesium and performs as all chi-junk does. The rivet function worked well.Update: seller offered full refund and acknowledged the broken pin. One star added for the sellerUpdate to the update: Refund offer was just smoke. Never refunded. Dont buy this cheap piece of scrap metal.

I couldn’t believe how quickly this kit was delivered! I needed this to knock out a couple of links in a chain on my granddaughters XR100R. It worked great but you have to be careful as with any tool; making sure that as you press out each pin that the tool is centered on the pin. Make sure to grind off the top of each pin before trying to push it out! Overall this is a great little kit for most sizes of chain as it comes with a variety of pins to push out the roller pins.

Je suis bluffé par ce kit !J'ai acheté 2 kits qui ont tous les deux cassés sans parvenir a démonter la chaine. J'ai reçu ce kit et en 10 minutes tout était démonté! Les outils respirent la qualité.Je le recommande vivement !
