I've been working with copper foil for 55 years and the past couple years, prices have shot up. So I'm looking around and see this foil. I ordered just a couple rolls to check it out. The adhesive is good, not great but what others have complained about, that is it's too thin, is actually a positive. Once I've wrapped a piece of glass, sometimes my other foils are so thick I can't easily tear them. This foils is easy to tear off form the roll. Definite time saver.Solders just fine too.

Not a very good reel assembly- the center ring fell out Which started a cascade of copper ringlets to the floor. Took a while to reel it all back into the center. I had to secure the ring with tape from another roll I had (see picture). While doing this I noticed how thin it was and how it tears easily as others have mentioned. I suppose it will work ok, but my first impression is not good. All that said, it appears to adhere well, and I suppose thinner copper makes sense since it’s really just a medium for solder, thicker is a waste.

discovered too late that this foil is not black backed. decided to try it anyway, foiled some pieces with it and i found that because it is so thin, the sides rip easily. and during soldering i found that in some areas, solder refuses to stick to it.

I really didn’t need another fid but now I always use this one. Foil is great, sticks well to projects, easy to smooth

As always.. Shop around. I have found better deals, but be careful. Less expensive does not equate to better product. As a beginner (2nd semester PGCC senior citizens class), I am testing new stained glass accouterments. 😎
