This is a must when doing a lot of sewing with quarter inch seams. Especially in quilting, without this foot you may find it difficult to get seams to line up perfectly.

This foot works fabulously on the Bernette B09 Acadamy sewing machine. I am very pleased with it. I have made a small bag using it with no issues at all.

I was using a different clear 1/4†foot. That one had markings on the underside that were wearing off quickly with use.This foot has all the markings and guides painted on the top side. This has prevented any wear on the markings. The right side is 1/4†for easy piecing and the left is only 1/8†which is nice for guiding small piecing. The foot gets wider behind the needle to aid in gripping the fabric. The space around the needle is just wide enough for a narrow zig zag stitch so I no longer have to switch feet to do bar tack stitches to secure elastic.This is hands down my favorite sewing foot and the only time I have to change it is to use my buttonhole foot!

I compared all measurements as listed by the manufacturer. The 1 measurement not mentioned was the diameter of the connecting shaft. That was the problem.
