I attached the pruner to a 24' DocaPole - and trimmed suckers from a Maple tree; I varied the adjustable pole from 10' to almost 24' - and it worked great; the pull string came up short (about 4') with the full extension of the pole; had to add an extension to the pull string. Loved that the pruner allowed me to cut close to the main branch. Some woody branches required significant effort - but it worked. It was a workout - the pole itself is weighty and challenging to control at the full extension. But it got the job done!Attaching the pruner to the DocaPole required drilling one hole in the DocaPole threaded end cap; The pruner is perfect press fit to that cap - drill hole does NOT interfere with the threads, so the pole can still be used with other accessories.

This head does a good job. Not quite as heavy duty as the one I replaced. Good for 1 inch branches. The saw blade is very thin and I dont see it holding up for very long, however the heavier blade from my old unit fits in its place so I came out ok on that part. I live in the woods so I use this equipment quite often.

Not well made. Expected better quality product for 30 dollars.

I saw references to unusual packaging looking like it had been opened. But when I examined mine, I found that they had packaged it with extra layers of tape intentionally to secure the saw from damaging the package. The rope is for a short pole perhaps 12'. Mine is expandable to 26' and requires an extra length added. Otherwise, the pruner works fine, and I wanted one with the 4 pully wheels for extra strength. It would only mount on the last extension piece which is slightly smaller than all the other extensions in diameter.

First one came looking repackaged, and the cord had a bad fray in the pulley area. Notified Amazon that I'm sending that back and they immediately sent another one, which also looked repackaged (extra packing tape, maybe that's just the way they do it?) and the cord is fine, but it was missing the mounting bolt and nut. I hadn't returned the other one yet, so I kept the bolt/nut from that one.But overall, it seems like a very nice pruner. I made an adapter to use it on a nice 3-section Jameson saw pruner pole I already had, so I can go 6', 12' or up tp 18' with it. Also made a rope extension for when I'm using it at 18' (stock rope is good for up to about a 12-14'' pole). Used it today, and it works well so far. BTW the part that attaches to the pole is red plastic, but seems sturdy. Blade seems very sharp, and the mechanism works well, springing back after each cut. Overall weight is not bad at all, and I'm happy with the purchase.

The unit itself is very sturdy and the pruning shear is great but the pruning saw is horrible.
