I bought this to be used for 18 x 24 paper, but it was too small. The clips pushed the paper so that it hung over the edge, and the included rubberband wrinkled the paper. Smaller sheets work better for this drawing board.

I got this for use in a life drawing class and it's perfect. I cut down some 18"x24" newsprint paper and it just about fits on this board, with just a tiny bit of overhang the long way and with clearance of the handle. I also use it for 11"x14" paper for longer drawings and it fits this easily.The board itself is quite sturdy while being surprisingly light. It rests well on my lap in vertical or horizontal orientations. The handle makes it easy to carry, though if you have paper wider than about 12" it might overhang the handle and this could interfere with drawing.The clip is strong and holds a small stack of paper well. The large rubber band for the other end can be good for transporting it without paper flapping everywhere, and for drawing with, though I remove it when drawing to give myself that last inch or so of drawing surface.

I love this drawing board. It is the perfect size to be portable without being too bulky, and it came with a large rubber band to secure the art to the board.
