I am happy with the product given the price. I stripped one by torquing a screw too hard, but that's to probably to be expected. They worked in my 1010 series 8020 extruded aluminum project, where I used them in a horizontal orientation. They are much easier to use than the "economy t-nuts" (the cheapest ones) because you can put them in place without needing access to the ends of the framing pieces-- you can just drop them in place, jiggle them a bit to get them seated, and screw a bolt into them.

These are well made and would have worked okay if I had just chosen the correct size 🤪

They may work fine for flat surface but if you try to install one overhead or vertical you will end up cussing like a sailor or kicking your dog. They fall out every time the moment your screw is within 1 mm of the insert. They need to make them a tiny bit wider. I would only use them in the case of an emergency Such as you are on an airplane at 30,000 feet and the only thing that could save your life is a 8020 series 10 Tina nut insert and you happen to be the Person with one in your pocket. You will most likely get it inserted at the moment the plane crashes into the ground I cannot recommend these

Went to every hardware store in town and even some specialty fastener stores and nobody had these. Ordering them anywhere else you pay about $1.50 each. These fit any roof rack cross bars like Sherpa, prinsu, up top, etc. pretty much anything that uses 80/20 aluminum rail.
