These bellows and shutters are designed for the following MerCruiser applications:
For 1982-1996 engines, there are some 1996 and 1997 models that apply.Fits the oval 4" Y-pipes with round pin holes.If you have two rectangular holes for the grommets you will need the A1 water shutter. If your Y-pipe changes size a few inches bellow the shutter you have a one piece manifold V6 Y-pipe and need shutter A2.

MerCruiser V8 & V6 years 1987-up - This fits from the Elbow after the riser to the Y pipe. Notice the slight bend in the picture. Works for either side.

Visually the water shutters look the same as the updated ones from Mercury but they are about 1/16th off from the tabs fitting in the holes to keep them in place. After fighting these and modifying them for a few hours I went to the local Marine and bought genuine ones that snapped right in place. The boots worked fine and quality seems like it will hold up. As others have said toss the clamps that come with this kit and re-use the old ones or just skip this kit all together to save the headache.

Shipped quickly and well packed. The hose clamps were barely long enough, so ended up reusing the old ones to simplify installation.

The flappers were too big, stick with Sierra, you can’t go wrong…

The quality is great and very useful my tools. I only use the stainless steel clamps. Great quality and material, easy to use and great product and reasonable price.

Parts went together fairly easy, but the hose clamps that came with the set are a bit on the weak side.

Been looking for a good replacement set of boots for my 87 raven as my old ones were close to dry rotting .. these made a great replacement option.. highly recommend
