Binders are smaller than you'd expect. They work well for small stuff chains are pretty good though!

I needed a couple of chokers (chains used to put around big logs and then attached to a tow line to pull the logs out of the bush) and thought I would try these. The working load is pretty low but I thought that maybe that is for the chain binders. Well, today was day number THREE of hauling some big Douglas Fir logs out and the chains have worked flawlessly. Even when one log, which was 18 and 23 inches in diameter and 13 ft. long was pulled and got hung up and had to be pulled free, the chains continued to pull like a tractor. We've also used them with a winch and to pull a log down a road behind a pickup, again, no issues.I'll. use the binders eventually but right now these chains have proven their worth to us. We give them 5 STARS!

The law makes all chains for transportation have stamped g numbers or it’s get looked as usual chain, so I dropped my loader and worker in the middle of the road and drove to buy new ones , too small for 1.1t machine because of the no stump

When we saw this set of chains and rachet binders, we were happy to accept additional load securing options to our stock of other well-used binders and chains. When the carton arrived, it seemed small, but assumed the binders were unscrewed to preserve space. Instead, these 1/4" - 5/16" binders are scaled down versions of their big brothers. We have used smaller sized binders where the difference is the size of the hooks while the actual rachet assembly is still full sized. In this case, everything is smaller. Understandably, the ratings for the binders and chains are appropriate for the smaller sized chain, so don't assume you can use this product to lash down a D9 bulldozer. With working limits of 2,600 lbs (binder) and 3,100 lbs (chain), this set is more appropriate for use on compact utility tractors or smaller equipment. Given the smaller size of the binders, you may want to have a length of pipe handy to augment the handle, the small size can hurt larger hands while cranking down the tension. We are a little concerned about the grade 70 rating of the chain. It is not chromate plated, nor are the chain’s hooks. We are suspect that these elements of the kit may be of lesser rating. Surely these will suffice if hauling a lighter load, but stretching the capabilities of any load device is sketchy, so use caution. At the end of the day, chains and binders are better than nylon load straps or rope and bungee cords, so these will still work within the safe limits as described.

Great for chaining down a skid steer or other small equipment. no need to haul around the big, half inch chains if these will do the job quite nicely. The WLL is stamped/marked permanently on the chains and binders so no issues with DOT inspections. Everything is as it should be and ready to go to work.
