I needed this for strapping on a tote, so I was disappointed with the size. I ended up using another product that I found locally. However, I have this now and will probably use it for something down the line. Welting measurements are very tricky. I suggest that if you can, you actually go to a local store and see what you're purchasing. Sometimes it's by diameter and other times by perimeter, depending on the manufacturer. I learned my lesson the hard way.
