I picked these up for a dual trash can that I’ve had for a while. I never thought to utilize the spot for filters until I gave it some thought. So I use that particular trash can for smelly stuff, since it has a lid with the filter spot built in. Ever since, I only smell the trash when I open it up, but that trash doesn’t stay in the house for long anyway. Even if it’s only helping marginally, it doesn’t hurt to cut/swap out the filter once a month.

They effectively neutralize odors, even after a few days of use, which makes a big difference in a busy household. I did have to customize them to fit my trash can by cutting them so far so good no odors.

I had a bin outside my door for dog poop bags. During the warmer months this can smell. I've been using these for a few months and have noticed a difference (in a good way.) This does seem to make the odor less which is great. I do change out the trash once a week and these make the week much more pleasant.
