The 1.5" Shaft Length Cooler Drain Plug Assembly Replacement is fantastic! It fits perfectly and works just like the original. I was worried about finding the right part, but this replacement was easy to install and sealed well. It’s sturdy and seems to be made of high-quality material. Easy to install, fits perfectly, works like OEM and stopped the leak on my 22 yo Coleman Xtreme cooler. Cooler still works great, so this was an inexpensive solution.

Out of the box it didn't fit the cooler, but I knew that it wouldn't from the specs. I used a step bit on both the outside and inside of the cooler to slighly increase the size of the two holes. The two openings were not the same and required a little bit more shaved away on the outside of the cooler than the inside. I placed the rubber washer all the way onto the shaft and used the outside stopper to tighten everything. Got it finger tight with the stopper in the up position. I then filled the cooler with water to make sure there were no leaks, and everything was bone dry. I have another one of these coolers, so I ordered 2 of these kits.

FYI - The washer is too large for this cooler; otherwise, 5 stars. The product is good. The shaft and plug fit fine.

Really works my old one broke and it was an awesome fix on my cooler.. I added some plumbers tape to mine just in case it leaked and it hasn't ever leaked since..

Item fit my Rubbermaid cooler perfect. Make sure you measure the length of you old piece before ordering to ensure correct size.

It was bigger than the original. I had not removed old one, estimated size of old one ordered and once removed found old one smaller. This replacement though larger screwed in like it found home. Waterproof, and happy, no more crab juice leaking in trunk. This is a fantastic thing!!
