My little guy loves his construction toys for the sand box. He has plenty of little matchbox construction toys but I wanted to get him something a little bigger that is more "functional" for him to play with. This drill excavator and the others by this brand do the trick nicely.The drill excavator is fully metal with lots of points of movement for full range of motion. Plus the tracks are real and movable opposed to many that put fake tracks on these things and tiny wheels on the bottom. Overall the build quality is very nice. It has some nice weight to it and all the parts move freely and stay put like they should. While I wish this also had a bucket to replace the drill with it still has been fun for my sone and he has enjoyed playing with it.There are not really any negatives to this product. The biggest issue we have had are the tracks as my sone wants them to move more but sand and other slick or not hard surfaces just don't create enough friction for the tracks to grip on to and spin. Other than that he has loved it and this has been a great buy.

This was a Christmas present for my three year old son and it definitely wowed him coming out of the box! It was a bit smaller than I expected but not disappointingly so. He immediately began playing with it, but thought it was broken because it wouldn’t roll very well. I thought it was broken but it wasn’t, it was just new and bit rusty. Once I warmed it up a bit and rolled it around several times, it started working well enough for him to use it. He especially liked the pokey end on the excavator and quickly started poking everything he possibly could (be warned!). I took a turn at that point and found I really liked the weight, feel of it, and all the ropes attached. It’s definitely a quality product that I imagine will last for several years at least!

This excavator got pretty small details done nicely. Looks very attractive. I've purchased this for 3 y.o. boy, but I would be happy to play with this as well. :).Cons; track wouldn't stay and it came off in a first minute when we've got that excavator out of the box. The arm is moving and looks pretty detailed. However, the hydraulics came apart pretty much right after the tracks got off. So, this excavator wouldn't do good as a toy for 3 y.o. Might be if you just set it on a shelve and just look at it... it might work. For a boy's toy it's way too fragile.

This is not a remote controlled vehicle. This is a quality movable model. Very cool for the price. Entertaining too! Doesn’t make any noises.
